the journeyer

Hello, my name is David Sterns, a 22-year-old, recent college grad who has been given an amazing opportunity to defer medical school for a year in order to rediscover who I am, who God is, why God matters, and why I matter to God. This process of transformation will include, but is not limited to, pouring out into the lives of orphans in Ecuador, providing assistance to health-care teams in a medical missions clinic, and learning to enjoy life and the community of believers within the context of the Latin American culture. This is, indeed, learning outside of the classroom, and I believe this experience will leave in my memory a treasure chest full of insight and wisdom that will be used for the rest of my life.  Although this particular account happens to focus on my journey, this is not one I make on my own strength or one that is unique to my own life. We are all, whether admitted or not, on the same journey ever closer to or ever further from the arms of our Father. So choose this day, then, whom you will serve, and walk in confidence knowing that one way heads towards life and the other to death. Where does your path lead?
